This new registration process is available to bring in new genetic diversity. You may cross a Cur with a Hound or Fiest with a Cur and breed back to purebred. It takes 3 generations and you are able to apply for purebred status. This will eliminate a lot of issues caused by the excessive inbreeding and genetic disorders that are present in many hound breeds, not just Mountain Curs.
